Puppy Pals Rock Falls Library recently acquired three "Puppy Pals" who love to be read to. Children may use their library cards to check out one of our little stuffed pals for two weeks. Children's Computers
![]() Do you know the Rock Falls Library has computers available for children to use? Getting a computer card is easy! Parents must come into the library with the student to get the computer card. Parents read the rules and sign a permission card for the student. Students keep the card just like a library card and show it whenever they want to use the computer. Students may use the computer for 1 hour or 1 time per day. Note: Children who are not yet in high school use the computers in the children's department. Children who are in high school show their high school ID and use the adult computers. Story Time Fun ![]() Rock Falls Library would like to visit you! Miss Karen will come to your facility and provide a half hour of stories, fingerplays and crafts for the children to enjoy. The program may be based on a theme that you request or one of our own. Please call the library for more information or to reserve a time for her to visit. Miss Karen would like at least 2 weeks' notice so that she will have time to find the best stories and activities for your needs. Discovery Kits
The RFPL Children's Department now has special "carry-on" kits that families may check out. Choose from: Penguins, Community Helpers, Astronomy, Birds, Geology, Author Patricia McKissack, and more! Each kit includes variations of the following: books, books on tape, VHS tapes, CDs, stuffed animals, puppets, puzzles, activity ideas, and a log in which patrons may record how they used the kit. One kit at a time may be checked out with an adult card and kept for two weeks. |
