Give Your Family A Gift That Money Can't Buy: Your Family History

March 16 at 6:30 pm

Jeffrey Bockman's presentation, "Give Your Family A Gift That Money Can't Buy," encourages everyone, especially senior citizens to preserve their family's history.

It is designed for anyone who wants to start recording information about their life and their family. "Don't wait for the young wipper-snappers to come and ask for the information"

It is also the perfect starting point for anyone wishing to research his or her family's history.

It covers:

Recording Basic Family Information
- About the family that a person grew up with and any families that they had
- Included are Seven Family Group Sheets and an Ancestor Chart

Identifying those important documents that your future descendants will appreciate
- Included is a List of Home Sources

The importance of family photographs and telling how to properly identify everyone

Recording and preserving the stories that make you "You" and your family "Your Family!"
Preserving it all for future generations to enjoy

This program is made possible in part by an award from the Illinois Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Illinois General Assembly.

Sign up online at this event's listing on our calendar or come to the library for your free ticket.
